The Expedia Group Global Markets Team is responsible for performance and growth of our brands in local markets, partnering with multiple teams across our dynamic organization. We are currently seeking a marketing driven professional to lead our key growth initiatives in Taiwan based in Taipei for our Hotels.com brand.
As the Marketing Manager, you will have your finger on the pulse of the travel industry. You will create and execute a clear and differentiated strategy to set our brands apart from the competition and grow our market share in Taiwan. You will drive the prioritization and coordination of critical business initiatives across a matrixed organization, working with various teams locally, intra-Asia, and Internationally to close gaps and identify new opportunities.
In this role you will:
- Create and execute our country strategy for Hotel.com and Expedia in Taiwan to differentiate our brands and grow our market share.
- Ensure through your work that our brands unique value proposition is easily understood by our target customers and ‘hits the nail on the head’, e.g. satisfies their needs for domestic and international travel.
- Create actionable customer, partner, market, and competitor insights as foundation of driving marketing efforts.
- Lead activation initiatives, working with stakeholders across marketing, product, supply, customer service, corporate functions, and others to deliver on country strategies & objectives
- Collaborate with marketing teams to deliver marketing activities that are integrated and locally relevant for the local markets, e.g.
- Provide strategic feedback on marketing planning
- Localization feedback on global campaigns and creatives
- Merchandizing campaigns in sync with Taiwan travel demand seasonality
- Work closely with supply teams to drive demand-supply alignment
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven track record of growing a B2C e-commerce business in Taiwan, strong understanding of Taiwan consumer behavior, the Taiwan travel market landscape, travel industry, plus local and international competitors.
- Strong marketing background, experience in building successful customer propositions & brand differentiation strategies.
- Used to translate strategies into executable market initiatives that drive share growth, e.g. ability to operate efficiently in a multi-national corporate with matrixed structure.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and ability to secure and compare data from multiple sources to identify core business opportunities yet with a focus on decision and execution.
- Drives high standards, tenaciously work to meet or exceed challenging goals; derive satisfaction from goal achievement and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills = ability to clearly convey information to stakeholders to influence for positive outcomes, proficiency in English and Taiwanese Mandarin.
