Senior Customer & Market Insights Analyst

The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech.

As a Senior Customer & Market Insights Analyst on Expedia's Global Markets team, you will support the growth of key LATAM markets by leading and/or collaborating on multi-disciplinary initiatives, whether through data or implementing business processes. It is critical for you to be comfortable working with complex data and to be able to effectively communicate useful findings. You must be willing to go deep, navigate through ambiguity, and work in an environment where you must partner with multiple local and global stakeholders to achieve success. Your business acumen, discernment, and analytical skills will be put to the test as we bring on new initiatives and optimize existing marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities include owning discrete pieces on audience pertinent initiatives, actions, analysis, and charting out the vision of the path forward. Working with channel owners, business analysts, market managers and internal teams to ensure data-integrity and to develop useful reporting and recommendations. This role will rotate across various channels & perspectives of our business—providing you broad exposure to Expedia and the fundamentals of analytics, product, and marketing!

In this role, you will:

  • Own day-to-day activities for critically important trading and performance initiatives and be responsive to constantly evolving business needs

  • Drive smarter data-driven useful insights on how to optimize business and be comfortable doing teardowns to rethink business executions

  • Build models to effectively value decisions and opportunities that the business will be confronted within environments under constant change

  • Manage internal relationships with key channel and business owners and other analysts to complete business

  • Communicate cross functionally (internally and externally) to socialize insights and initiatives on behalf of the LATAM global markets team

  • Build alignment between data science, product, analytics, and marketing teams on program plans

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business, engineering, economics, statistics; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 3 years' minimum experience in a customer market insights or similar analytical role

  • E-commerce, Internet, travel, or consumer/retail experience a plus

  • Proficiency in English required, Spanish a plus

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; the ideal candidate will also have familiarity with A/B testing, Tableau, and SQL

  • Adept problem solver who supports a test-and-learn and data driven decision making culture

  • Has a ´get it done´ operational approach, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to articulate concepts and ideas to inform stakeholders

  • Collaborate cross functionally while displaying strong interpersonal skills to adopt and champion change

  • Curious to learn, with a growth mindset
