Vice President, Corporate Strategy
Introduction to team:
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
About the role:
We're seeking a seasoned strategist to lead our Corporate Strategy function. This pivotal role will report directly to the SVP of Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations. You'll work very closely with our executive team, including the CEO and Executive Chairman, to shape our long-term vision and drive strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will:
Strategic Leadership: Advise executive leadership on corporate strategy, including value creation opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape analysis.
Strategic Planning: Oversee the annual strategic planning process, setting multi-year strategic goals and priorities.
Executive Forums: Lead the agenda and content for critical executive forums, such as board meetings, quarterly business reviews, and executive leadership offsites.
Internal Consulting: Drive high-impact projects, acting as an internal consulting team to address complex strategic challenges.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with divisional strategy, finance, and operations teams to execute strategic initiatives.
Experience and qualifications:
15+ years of strategic leadership experience at large, public companies.
Proven track record in strategy development and execution.
Experience at top-tier strategy consulting firms and in-house strategy roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
MBA required.
Preferred location: Seattle, WA.
