As a Global Mobility Tax Analyst, you will assist the Senior Manager of Global Mobility and Employment Tax in overseeing the global mobility tax portfolio within the Global Payroll Team. This role requires independent thinking and action in handling mobility tax queries and analysis.
In this role, you will provide direct support for employee-related activities on mobility tax matters, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service, managing tax service providers, and processing relocation-related data with high quality.
You will also be responsible for proactive collaboration with key internal business partners. The individual must be able to creatively connect and combine large volumes of data from various sources, interact with, filter, and mine data to share insights. Knowledge of international labor and mobility tax regulations is critical. You will determine process improvement actions, work with system integrations, develop plans, and implement those actions across end-to-end methodologies.
What You’ll Do
Manage inquiries from employees, managers, and HR on mobility tax matters.
Perform audit and tracking tasks to maintain program compliance.
Collaborate with internal and external partners on the delivery of cross-functional processes.
Draft and maintain internal process guides and resources.
Proactively recommend improvements to processes through automation and system enhancements.
Partner closely with tax and relocation service providers to ensure high service standards and adherence to service level agreements.
Support tax service providers with authorization, out-of-scope, and invoice reviews.
Assist the People Team with various projects and initiatives as assigned.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related certification/designation such as CPA, GMS-T, or EA is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in global mobility tax, employment tax, payroll tax, and accounting-related fields in an international context (experience with Big 4 or Professional Employment Organization (PEO) is a plus).
Knowledge and experience working with cross-border tax regulations preferred.
Technical proficiency in various mobility tax topics (e.g., income tax treaties, certificates of coverage, social tax agreements, double taxation, foreign tax credit, trailing liability, etc.).
A passion for customer service.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong research and writing skills.
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; you relish cross-functional relationship building and are comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience using Workday and ServiceNow is a plus.
