iOS Mobile Engineer II

An iOS engineer on this team would focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining the iOS application features related to the One Key Loyalty program across various stages of the travel journey, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for customers. Their responsibilities would include:

  • Develop and maintain loyalty-related features for the iOS app, ensuring seamless integration across the travel journey (Discovery, Shopping, Checkout, etc.).

  • Build and enhance UI for loyalty accelerators like Member Only Deals, XLR offers.

  • Support legacy programs like HCOM stamps within the iOS ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent experiences across platforms.

  • Continuously improve app performance, incorporating the latest iOS developments and features.

About the team:The Loyalty Experience Engineering team is focused on revolutionizing the travel experience by building and maintaining a cutting-edge loyalty program. Their mission is to create a seamless, user-friendly system that rewards customers, enhances satisfaction, and fosters long-term relationships.


This team manages the expansion and evolution of the One Key Loyalty program across all EG brands, including both native and web platforms. They support loyalty features across the entire travel journey—from Discovery and Shopping, through Checkout, and while managing trips and user profiles. They also handle the UI and orchestration layers for these loyalty experiences.


In addition, the team is responsible for developing and evolving UI experiences for loyalty accelerators, such as the EG co-branded credit card in partnership with Wells Fargo, Member Only Deals, XLR offers, and Variable Expiry Rewards. They also support the UI for EG Rewards and maintain the full stack UI and backend systems for HCOM stamps legacy programs.
Overall, this team plays a key role in ensuring a highly engaging and rewarding loyalty experience for users across all platforms.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the Entire Software Development Lifecycle: Engage in all stages, from initial concept and requirement gathering to design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Contribute to the modular and scalable design and architecture of iOS applications using Swift and relevant technologies.
  • Ensure High Quality and Performance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with a global team of skilled developers to tackle complex challenges, enhance the team’s expertise through peer reviews, and adopt innovative technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek ways to improve development practices and processes, while continuously enhancing your technical skills and sharing knowledge with the team.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in developing iOS applications.
  • Proficient in Swift with a solid understanding of Xcode and other iOS development tools.
  • Familiarity with common mobile application design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc.).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience in writing unit test cases to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Skilled in monitoring, instrumenting, and troubleshooting code performance (e.g., frame rate, memory leaks, performance metrics etc).
  • Preferred experience with SwiftUI and Combine frameworks.
  • Understanding of user interface design for mobile apps, along with knowledge of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Passionate about writing high-quality, well-structured, and maintainable code, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Eager to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance existing systems and address challenges
  • Good-to-have, but not mandatory, skill: GraphQL knowledge is nice to have.
