Senior Mobile Engineer, Android

In this role, you will:

• Play a critical role in ensuring modular and scalable design and architecture of Android Apps

• Mentor junior engineers to develop state-of-the-art design and quality

• Development of Android Apps - providing value to travelers and increase usage and feature adoption Set high standards for monitoring and operational excellence getting to know challenges faced by customers and improving the experience

• Optimize apps for performance and usability

• Ensure that visual design is meticulously up to spec and unique Android capabilities are leveraged for a truly native experience

• Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and product owners to constantly improve the customer experience within Android platform

Experience and qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a mobile applications developer

• Must-have skills: At least 4+ years of experience developing large-scale Android applications

• Hands-on experience in creating native Android UIs using Jetpack Compose and leveraging Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming.

• Strong understanding of clean code principles, including asynchronous programming, unit testing, and effective use of layouts in Android.

• Strong grasp of MVVM, SOLID principles, and building testable, maintainable code.

• Good-to-have skills: Experience developing on other mobile platforms – e.g iOS will be a big plus Experience developing backend services – RESTful APIs, Kotlin, and GraphQL will be a big plus

• Experience working with A/B testing and event Frameworks will be a plus

• Ability to collaborate and drive results cross-team, in a complex working environment Experience working in a cross-functional Agile team
