As an Associate Market Manager at Expedia Group, you will coach and support customers to maximize their success on our platform. Through comprehensive commercial conversations and interactions, you will help increase the value they get from our services. You will work closely with key decision-makers and internal stakeholders to develop insights and solutions that meet customer needs.


What you’ll do:

  • Build relationships with customers and their account teams, including key decision-makers.

  • Assist in creating opportunities (e.g., meetings, exploratory sessions) to grow customer accounts.

  • Understand the customer’s business issues by leveraging internal organizational resources.

  • Recommend products, services, and insights that address customer needs.

  • Complete basic account plans outlining strategies for acquiring and maintaining business.

  • Develop an understanding of department operations and how it fits into the larger organization.

  • Stay informed about policies, practices, trends, and competitor information that impact customers and the organization.

  • Analyze the financial impact of decisions and solutions on customers and the company.

  • Guide accounts to valuable insights that benefit both the customer and the organization.

  • Gather data and information on potential ideas and solutions for addressing business needs.

  • Assist in documenting components of business cases for change as directed by senior colleagues.

  • Learn and understand the company’s standard contract terms and conditions by reading product literature, contracts, and consulting peers.

  • Work with legal resources to modify or adjust standard contract terms when necessary.

  • Learn the contract negotiation process and complete contractual arrangements.

Who you are:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a relevant role.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in English and the local language of the market(s).

  • Strong communication skills for exchanging information in straightforward situations.

  • Growing knowledge of sales techniques.

  • Some experience in account management is preferred.

  • Gains insight into customer decision-makers using the company’s customer relationship management system.

  • Develops a basic understanding of the customer’s industry and competitive market using company tools.

  • Attends meetings with customers to understand their needs and expectations.

  • Learns to assess product performance against customer expectations.

  • Creates value propositions, case studies, or uses proof points to demonstrate the value of the company’s products and solutions.
