As Expedia’s Checkout platform team we are on a mission to reimagine the checkout experience for Travelers. We are working on exciting and innovative ideas to improve the shopping and booking experience for travelers across our key brands including Expedia.com, Vrbo, Hotels.com and others.
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Product Manager for our Checkout Platform driving growth and engagement for millions of travelers. An ideal candidate will lead the strategy and execution of next generation of Checkout Platform and build on new platform capabilities to increase booking conversion by improving the checkout experience.What you will do:
  • Simplify and create frameworks to influence a diverse and broad audience
  • Write product requirements and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, marketing, design, and development teams
  • Own the overall product roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience, developer experience, and time to market
  • Effectively partner with program and engineering to drive teams to achieve aggressive targets with minimal direction
  • Create alignment on the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Establish business processes and policies as well as metrics and indicators for success
  • Measure and analyze existing products and business models for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to developers and customers
  • Develop, report, and continually improve business performance metrics
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic and technical issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management
  • Experience creating and evolving customer and developer experiences from conceptualizing to launch
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs, managing roadmaps across multiple stakeholders, including working closely with tech teams from design to ship
  • Has proven ability to manage multiple, completing priorities simultaneously and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery, overseeing roadmap strategy and definition, contributing to discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a platform product
  • Known for superior communications skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience working on funnel improvements to drive growth is a plus, not mandatory
  • Able to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Has proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases
  • Has proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
