Financial Operations Analyst

The Private Label Solutions (PLS) Controllership team is seeking a creative and collaborative Finance Analyst to support a sophisticated and growing business within the PLS portfolio.

The PLS Controllership team empowers delivery of PLS goals through financial intelligence and operational excellence. As part of the PLS Controllership team, you are responsible for collaborating closely with partners to support the rapid growth of the B2B business and drive continuous improvement in execution. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, working closely with Account Managers, Product, Finance, and Technology teams as well as Expedia Group corporate departments (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Accounts Payable, and Billing teams).

This position is part of the PLS team, located in Springfield, MO, and is responsible for supporting the receivables and payables processes, partner requests, user acceptance testing, and improvement projects for PLS Points Loyalty partners. Responsibilities include supporting the month-end closing process, coordinating AR/AP processes, and assisting with daily email communication with partners, account managers and other customers.

What you'll do:

  • Support partner requirements for billing, cash settlements, reporting, and reconciliations

  • Prepare and distribute ageing and credit tracker reports for the EPS loyalty portfolio

  • Assist with new partner intake including set-up for billing, cash settlement, and reporting packages

  • Support current partnerships by responding to inquiries, concerns, and investigation requests

  • Preparing/Reviewing monthly reconciliations, accruals and journal entries for accuracy and reasonableness.

  • Supporting SOX and general audit requirements for team controls

  • Ensuring that internal controls are followed and provide proactive recommendations for changes to the internal control infrastructure where required.

  • Partner with multiple teams to continuously evaluate the quality of financial outputs, and proactively drive continuous improvement in execution.

  • Supporting the ongoing automation and general process improvements for business operations by, collaborating closely with key partners from Oracle, Product, Tech and Commercial teams to enable and lead change.

  • Other ad hoc projects supporting EPS Enterprise Solutions critical initiatives

Who you are:

  • Must be a quick learner, self-motivated and a great teammate

  • Positive attitude and goal-oriented

  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft/Hyperion Planning), Looker, SQL and Tableau a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience of handling large and complex data sets

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to convert raw data into actionable business insights

  • Excellent social skills and excels working across departmental and company boundaries with internal and external stakeholders

  • Adapts well and is energized by change while maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives

  • Shown ability to handle many conflicting tasks, and deliver against contending priorities

  • Confirmed ability to analyze data to solve business problems and provide business insight, communicating complex issues effectively

  • Operates autonomously with positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/ Accounting / Finance / Economics a plus

  • 5+ years professional Finance or Accounting experience

  • Proven track record to handle many conflicting tasks, and deliver against challenging priorities

  • Adapts well to, and is energized by change whilst maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $51,500.00 to $72,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $82,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
