Business Intelligence Manager - Loyalty Finance
The finance team is seeking a high caliber Business Intelligence professional to support our Brands Finance organization working on business-critical BI solutions. This role will leverage your BI, analytics and communication skills to work directly with our finance and loyalty teams to support with data, automation, forecasting and reporting enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.
What you’ll do:
Build and maintain automated loyalty reporting dashboard
Extract raw data from underlying loyalty tables
Identify high-level trends as well as detailed splits highlighting key drivers and changes in customer behavior
Evaluate loyalty cost & incorporate comparison vs. monthly finance forecast
Create relevant tables, graphs and charts for use in senior leadership presentations
Ensure ongoing data accuracy and completeness
Deep-dive analyses and ongoing monitoring of the various loyalty program components (e.g. core earn vs. tier benefits. vs. targeted CRM bonuses) and building relevant detailed dashboards as necessary
Partner with the data engineering and loyalty analytics teams to build data pipelines to support the loyalty forecasting processes utilizing SQL (& Python)
Develop detailed working knowledge of Expedia Group’s data and processes - including forecasting
Collect business requirements, transform them into technical requirements, and support loyalty and finance partners with data needs through ad hoc data solutions or creating standardized data visualization and reporting
Own the relationships with loyalty, product /tech and finance stakeholders, and work autonomously to prioritize and execute on the most impactful analyses
Identify areas of improvement for our data model, validation, visualization and reporting challenges
Demonstrate a true passion for data, reporting and travel & possess strong commercial awareness
Influence business partners and senior leaders through communicating across various levels of the organization using clear and compelling storytelling and presentations
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree
5-7+ years’ experience in a similar reporting/Business Intelligence/analytical role
Strong SQL skills, and a willingness to learn new frameworks and languages required for the task; experience using Python / PySpark is an advantage
Experience with Tableau reporting or other reporting and visualization tools e.g. Looker. Proven hands-on experience building and automating reporting dashboards is an advantage
Understanding of data lake concepts, capabilities, and technologies used for BI solutions such as AWS, Querybook, Jupyter Hub, Airflow, Databricks, SQL Server, etc.
Knowledge of financial forecasting and reporting systems
Experience collaborating with other teams and disciplines to deliver projects
Flexibility and agility with the ability to switch priorities on short notice
A proactive problem solver consistently seeking to enhance reporting tools to address business problems and realize opportunities

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
