Senior Software Development Engineer

As a Senior Software Development Engineer within the Developer Experience team, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and driving the implementation of innovative solutions to improve the overall developer experience. You will leverage your strong technical expertise and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact projects.

What you'll do:

• **Technical Leadership**: Lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions to enhance the developer journey and onboarding experiences.

• **Mentorship**: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

• **Developer Experience Surveys and Satisfaction**: Lead the development and analysis of developer experience surveys, providing actionable insights to improve satisfaction and engagement. current projects.

• **Backstage.io Integration**: Oversee the integration and enhancement of Backstage.io for internal developers, including the management of Techdocs, Plugins, Scaffolder, and Catalog.

• **Metrics**: Utilize our Productivity platform to analyze developer productivity metrics, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, and implementing data-driven solutions.

• **Automation Enablement**: Develop and implement automation solutions based on data insights to streamline processes and enhance the developer experience.

• **Collaboration**: Work closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.

Who you are:

• 8+ years for Bachelor's

• 6+ years for Master's

• Education

• Worked in at least in 2-3 multi-quarter projects.

• Worked in decentralized teams and projects.

• Formally mentored at least 3 individuals.

• Drove technical design end-to-end of at least 3 projects.

• **Technical Expertise**: Extensive experience in software development, with strong proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, and Java.

• **Data Tools and Platforms**: Proficiency with data tools and platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, and familiarity with data storage solutions (e.g., Aurora (Postgres), Redshift, BigQuery).

• **Developer Productivity Tools**: Deep understanding of tools like Backstage.io, GitHub Copilot, StackStorm, , etc, and experience integrating these tools into developer workflows.

• **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

• **Leadership**: Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.

• **Collaboration**: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• **Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
