Communications Planner

Expedia Group’s Global Marketing team is leading some of the world’s most recognized travel brands. Finding new ways to improve the experience for all travellers, everywhere. We’re looking for strategists who can help us build integrated communications platforms across all our brands touchpoints.

It is our team's job to ensure our brands, and our ideas, are as relevant and impactful as possible. More specifically, it’s the specialists job to help ensure all of our communications are orchestrated in a smart way that ladders up to one holistic brand narrative. Using all our communications channels as effectively as possible.

What you’ll do

  • Interrogate our business through the lens of our audience and culture

  • Developing sharp audience & cultural insights that help increase the relevance of our ideas

  • Understand our business and our competitive set better than anyone, knowing how to uncover spaces we can own and make an impact

  • Inspire creative ideas and new ways of thinking, working with cross functional teams to bring our ideas to life

  • Combine creativity and effectiveness through strong understanding of media across paid, owned, earned and shared channels

  • Maintain a firm grasp on new uses of media and the latest innovations /opportunities for us to stretch our thinking

  • Use data and insights to inform your approach and influence campaign KPI’s

Who you are:

  • 4-6 years experience in comms planning, comms strategy, media strategy or similar role at a creatively led organization

  • Passionate about the ever-changing world of media and able to help solve business problems in a way that straddles the twin pillars of effectiveness and impact

  • Opinionated and actively seek out responsibility, helping those around you do things even better

  • A champion of great creative work and an ally to your creative teams, helping keep everyone inspired & informed about the media & cultural landscape

  • Able to work in a fast paced, highly competitive, and constantly evolving category

  • Results oriented with outstanding organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills

The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
