Internship Program Highlights:

  • Onboarding: Connect with your cohort, receive support, and set up for success in your first week

  • Intern Bootcamp: Role-specific technical and professional skills learning, both in-person and virtual, delivered in your first week to help you get set up for success

  • Meaningful work and projects: Interns join a variety of Expedia Group teams and directly contribute to business workstreams and priorities; at the conclusion of the internship interns present their work to team members and senior leadership

  • Learning Series: Interactive workshops delivered by our Learning team to build professional & soft skills, and support development, including topics such as personal branding and presentation skills

  • Leadership Series: Exclusive intern-only events with our Travel Leadership Team leaders to learn about their career journeys, hear their views on industry and company trends and ask questions!

  • Social events: Regular fun events organized for each regional cohort so you can get to know others, enjoy the Expedia Group culture, and enjoy some downtime!

  • Mentorship: Mentors are assigned to each individual intern to support your development and learning throughout the program and are also a great way to build your understanding and network at EG.

  • Support: Coaching and advice, provided by managers, team navigators (buddies) and a specific point of contact per region from Emerging Talent & Careers.

What You’ll do:

Program Managers coordinate the delivery of features and projects on the Expedia Group project roadmap. Working with teams, you will manage delivery requiring great organization, and you will build your ability to communicate with technical and non-technical minded people to ensure that teams are on track to achieve their goals.

  • Assist on software development or machine learning projects where agile engineering methods (e.g., Extreme Programming, Feature Driven Development) are applied

  • Handle parts of an unambiguous, technical project end-to-end as needed and defined by the program lead

  • Demonstrate a willingness and flexibility to adapt your work to new processes to streamline and be more efficient

  • Help coordinate and capture input and from multiple partners and teams when developing solutions to issues

  • Learn to navigate delivery within scope of project/program

  • Support team members with the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, and messages)

Who You Are:

  • Must be available to commit to the full program dates: June 24th 2024 – August 30 2024

  • Must be graduating with an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree in a technical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Math) OR a business tech field (e.g., Product/Project/Program Management). For business degree holders, please highlight any tech-based projects and interests on your resume.

  • Must be completing degree between December 2024 and July 2025

  • Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance

  • Must commit to full time hours every week

  • Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role

  • Helpful to have a highly organized working style with an interest in managing end to end projects and developing a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

  • Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of audiences e.g., internal, external, technical, non-technical

  • Helpful to show a basic understanding of how to communicate decision-making rationale to team members using insights from customers, the business, or competitors
