Senior Media Specialist – OOH/Digital Planner

Expedia Group’s inhouse media agency EG Media is looking for a talented individual to undertake the management of Expedia Group’s Out of Home and Digital activity across several markets across the globe, with a focus on select EMEA and APAC markets. This is a hybrid role that will stand at the intersection of Out of Home and Digital media.

Reporting to a Senior Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing OOH campaigns based on local market business objectives, in collaboration with various international and external teams across the organization. They will partner with Expedia Group’s global digital media vendors and digital media investment team to incorporate digital executions into holistic plans, delivering effective reach of Expedia brands advertising.

They will be the champion of the OOH and Digital media within their markets, representing them within global workstreams. They will be coordinating and building alignment across many internal and external interdependent stakeholders, ensuring best in class strategies and plans are constructed that deliver business performance.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for managing OOH investments across our group of brands in select EMEA and APAC markets. This will involve working closely with Expedia Group’s OOH specialist agency and internal Global OOH lead to ensure alignment between all involved stakeholders

  • Develop coherent OOH strategy that translates global briefs into localized approaches within the local markets

  • Ensure timelines with both OOH specialist agency and internal creative organizations are kept for ongoing campaigns and identify opportunities to maximize impact and share best practices

  • Be a champion for OOH, especially but not limited to Programmatic OOH, andprovide education and best practices to the organization. This involves leading planning meetings that showcase expertise and useful knowledge to keep the process moving

  • Manage internal media planning and tracking tools and ensure the most accurate information and budgets are up to date

  • Manage invoicing and contracting process with partners, and Finance

  • Manage collection of and organize Proof of Posting photos and identify if any postings are incorrect, to then troubleshoot immediately if so

  • Responsible for developing strategic media plans, based on local media consumption and supply insights, and execute across the digital media ecosystem including global partners such as Apple, Netflix, Amazon, The Trade Desk, YouTube and other global digital media partners

  • Work closely with Digital Media Trading lead to report on investment opportunities and risks, monitor tracking against global deals and ensure negotiated rates are delivered against

  • Traffic, QA and implement campaign activations across managed service digital partners and in-house self-serve DSP platforms, primarily The Trade Desk. Own campaign management and optimisation responsibilities to ensure campaigns deliver required investment levels and drive desired business outcomes

  • Collaborate with other media channels ensuring all activities holistically complement each other driving required business results across the media mix

  • Ensures campaigns are implemented correctly, and that performance is measured, optimised and delivers key performance indicators/targets

  • Deeply analyse performance and be able to coherently and factually develop insights that will improve future campaigns, in collaboration with analytics, brand measurement and data science teams

Who you are:

  • 4+ years in a media related role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent related professional experience

  • OOH media planning and buying experience with knowledge of UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong market mechanics ideal but not essential

  • Experience in planning and buying across the digital media landscape, including Connected TV, Digital Audio, online video

  • Experience managing campaign activation and optimisation in programmatic Demand Side Platforms, The Trade Desk preferred, including experience trafficking ads through third party ad-servers such as Google Campaign Manager

  • Digital media planning and buying experience. Programmatic Digital OOH experience not necessary but preferred

  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills centred around a consultative approach

  • Detail oriented and highly organized. with the ability to synthesise detailed information

  • Can easily assess when to escalate a situation and come up with solutions to problems

  • Expert PowerPoint / Keynote skills showcasing excellent storytelling and visualization skills

  • Strong interpersonal, expectation management and stakeholder alignment skills

  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple work assignments

  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate and be proactive
