Expedia Group is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader to join the Expedia Brands team as a Director for the Hotels Business Unit.

This role will be responsible for identifying direction to drive growth and optimize business results across Expedia’s B2C businesses. You will monitor P&L performance and key metrics, identify and recommend investment priorities (loyalty, channel resourcing, pricing optimization) and drive alignment and optimization across marketing efforts, and work across functional teams to action on opportunities to optimize the business.

This will include providing performance insights, strategic recommendations, and coordination across all the relevant contributing areas supporting the implementation of key business initiatives end to end. You will also support the Hotels Leadership Team by delivering comprehensive views on overall business performance and priorities. This requires a leader that is curious, fearless, a strong program manager, and has B2C marketing expertise. You will have regular and frequent interaction with senior leadership across the organization and will need to maintain strong alignment and cross functional partnerships to ensure that the overall Hotels business is well planned, understood, communicated, and effectively executed.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive and monitor business performance of a B2C Brand for the Hotels Business Unit to deliver annual plan for Expedia Brands

  • Drive strategy and coordination across traveler marketing efforts (Brand, CRM, Loyalty, Performance search, etc)

  • Identify high impact initiatives, evaluate trade-offs, and lead cross functional teams across Expedia Group to enable execution for successful outcomes, e.g., optimizing investment strategy to align profitability with growth and marketplace needs

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of business management, B2C ecommerce, B2C strategy, B2C marketing and P&L management experience

  • Bachelor's in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience; MBA preferred

  • Innovative and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to solutions: prior experiences tackling vague problems, crisply framing the challenges, identifying a path forward, and driving execution to the finish line

  • Demonstrated program manager with ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence and align stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes without direct organizational authority ultimately resulting in meeting targets

  • Viewed as an impactful leader due to proven track record of developing data-driven processes and frameworks to enable actionable decision making

  • Motivated by goal achievement and continuous improvement, with enthusiasm and strive to motivate your team and the wider organization

  • Curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more, which you use to understand business operations and the levers that drive profitable growth

  • Collaborator: Work in close partnership and build effective relationships with peers and other cross functional stakeholders to deliver Expedia Group-maximizing outcomes

  • Ability to succinctly synthesize complex problems with excellent written and oral communication skills

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
