Senior Human Resource Specialist

By joining our People team, you will have an opportunity to put to work your HR and Employee Relations experience in support of our offices in Rome.

What you will do:

  • Implement complex projects related to local, regional and global project management initiatives in compliance with local labor law and union relations

  • Provide Employee Relation advice, coaching and support to our leaders, ensuring a positive work environment

  • Independently handle complex employee relation issues

  • Help prepare audits, reporting and compliance reviews pertaining to local regulations, H&S and other programs

  • Facilitate the planning and roll-out of global / local projects that support professional development, engagement, motivation, and well-being of employees

  • Work with the COEs to help design and implement, benefits, incentive programs etc

  • Ensure compliance with HR tools, processes, and legal requirements

  • Participating in delivering the Regional GEO People team strategy aligned with business goals

  • Proactively identifying trends using metrics/data and recommend solutions in partnership with cross-functional partners

  • Partnering with cross-functional partners on their roadmaps for content, rollout and readiness in the region

  • Working in a multicultural and diverse environment, you may have opportunities to participate in regional and global strategic projects

Who you are:

  • We are looking for candidates with experience as an HR professional who can thrive in an ambiguous, fast paced, evolving work environment and are excited about helping teams through changes

  • You must have at least 4 years’ experience in Employee Relations and the Italy employment law framework (other countries are a plus), specifically you will have some experience coaching managers through sensitive employment matters such as grievances, disputes, under-performance, complaints, and investigations. If you have a background in HR Operations or Payroll is a plus.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and influence for positive outcomes

  • Experience handling conflict resolution or employee relations investigations and multiple and changing priorities

  • Strong organizational , Communication and time management skills

  • Capacity to work on multiple different projects, and under pressure, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

  • You are able to drive Employee Relations cases to completion mostly autonomously and engage with your Italy-based colleagues or our in-house Legal team where appropriate

  • You must have superior communication and written skills, as well as a can-do attitude with a desire to solve/remove roadblocks

  • Experience influencing and partnering with a variety of stakeholder, as well as an ability to think strategically about key Business and HR initiatives that are locally relevant

  • Must be comfortable with manipulating and analyzing data

  • Multi-national experience and working with remote teams on multiple time zone is a plus

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or Equivalent related professional experience

  • Fluent in Italian and English
