Finance Manager – TPSP Compensation and Loss
This position will join the customer compensation and loss management team within Expedia Group's Traveler Partner Service Platform (TPSP) Finance team. Leveraging depth of operations and financial knowledge to support Expedia Group customer compensation and Retail Loss financial planning and analysis, while appropriately managing risks and controls. The Finance Manager will use analytical insights to drive improved customer compensation unit economics. You will translate complex financial data into actionable information, build financial models, analyze new initiatives, provide financial planning, and measure performance against operational metrics. What you'll do:
Work across finance team to Identify process and data gaps and take appropriate actions to address risks and opportunities
Develops basic financial models, including forecasting financial results and performing sensitivity and scenario analysis
Support leadership decision-making through timely strategic and quantitative analysis
Collaborate with Retail Loss organization to drive improved agent processes & automation to reduce retail loss
Demonstrates deep understanding of how the organization does business (i.e. business model and operations, financial performance, and key success factors)
Combines organization and financial knowledge to improve customer compensation and retail loss contra-revenue (customer refunds, credits, coupons, goodwill, retail loss prevention, customer refund policies, vendor management)
Constantly works to improve own efficiency; double-checks the accuracy of the output of others to ensure high quality delivery
Considers and understands the audience’s specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language
Develops a broad knowledge base of systems and databases (financial and non-financial) through experience, completing routine to complex responsibilities, and performing analysis
Gains stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their concerns to further long-term interests
Effectively interprets financial results demonstrating deep knowledge and provides insights for management
Who you are:
5+ years of progressive finance or analytical work experience
Bachelors’ or Master's in business, finance, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
Solid understanding of math and statistics concepts
Strong qualitative and quantitative financial skills including proficiency in Excel
Ability or willingness to learn and utilize Financial Systems (Hyperion, SQL, etc.); preference for experience using SQL to develop new data queries for regular reporting and adhoc business inquiry / models
Ability to see the ‘big picture’ and understand key trends and levers
Demonstrated understanding of forecasting / planning processes and preparation of executive-level management reporting
Proactive and solutions-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements
Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $84,000.00 to $117,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $134,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
