Senior Software Development Engineer, AdTech

Travel is back, and Expedia's Media Solutions group is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build the world's best travel advertising platform.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will solve complex technology problems in a fast-paced agile environment, constantly learning and adapting to rapidly evolving customer needs. You will be a trusted advisor for senior leaders, an indispensable collaborator for product managers, and a role model for junior engineers. You will provide technical leadership to manage the ever-growing infrastructure that powers our travel advertising platform. In this role you will collaborate with business owners and technology leaders to develop innovative solutions that have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of advertisers and customers. You will help mentor and set an example for a new and growing team of top-notch technical professionals, with a focus on sustained operational excellence. Position Overview: Will be the senior engineer for our London Ad Technology Team

What you'll do:

• Design, code, and deliver industry leading services and platforms for travel advertising

• Work with product and tech leaders to envision, design, build, and maintain next generation advertising platform

• Be a role model for your team with your customer focus, operational excellence, and technical vision. Mentor junior engineers.

• Deliver impactful capabilities that delight our travelers, advertisers, and publishers

• Design and build scalable, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed software systems

Who you are:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience

• Proven ability to design, build, launch, and maintain scalable software systems

• Product focused engineer, a strong partner to product management teams

• Proven ability mentor junior engineers and act as lead for a team of high-performing engineers

• Experience building and managing high throughput distributed systems in large-scale distributed environments

• Preferred: Two or more years' experience in Digital Advertising Technology

• Build and lead a talented and diverse team of software development engineers.

• Work with product and tech leaders to envision, design, build, and maintain next generation advertising platform

• Be a role model for your team with your customer focus, operational excellence, and technical vision

• Deliver impactful capabilities that delight our travelers, advertisers, and publishers
