Director, Loyalty Finance

The Traveler Engagement & Loyalty (TEaL) team is a core part of EG Brands Marketing organization. The TEaL team builds relationships and engagement with travelers through ownership of the One Key Loyalty program, credit card, and direct-to-traveler communications, which results in active member growth, app downloads through owned channels, and increased revenue per traveler.

​The Director, Loyalty Finance is a visionary Finance leader for the TEaL Team. This leader will manage a team of 6-8 and report into the VP, Brands Finance. The Director, Loyalty Finance will work with the TEaL organization as a thought and business partner, serving to drive business performance, strategy, cost optimization and to improve the traveler experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the management and execution of financial support to the Loyalty and Credit Card Program, the ongoing financial health and stability and the financial goals and objectives

  • Partner with the TEaL leadership team, loyalty marketing leaders, analytics accounting, key finance stakeholders, legal, and other areas in the execution of financial and operational business strategies and plans to support the ongoing fiscal needs of the loyalty program

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on financial and accounting matters related to the Loyalty Programs and have a strong working knowledge of the program infrastructure and will be able to analyze the financial implications of proposed program changes

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by leadership, or other key stakeholders in response to requests to evaluate inquiries or proposed program enhancements

  • Review analysis and forecasts, variances to budget, actual spend, and other issues that impact Loyalty spend

  • Set industry standard for complex financial modeling and continuously improve the company’s reporting and modelling tools based on best practice, enabling advanced financial modeling with greater transparency and reliability into forecasting and reporting Loyalty spend

  • Partner with actuarial firm to understand program trends impacting financial liability

  • Partner with TEaL team to understand customer economics, re-define a holistic incentives process, develop performance indicators, and apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making

  • Use expertise in financial analysis to present and communicate financial results to senior executives and influence them in developing new strategies to enhance the organization’s financial performance

Who you are:

  • Exhibit strong functional leadership and finance knowledge; able to leverage this strength to influence business team strategies and decisions

  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling

  • Comfortable creating positive relationships across a number of teams and supporting C-suite level leaders

  • A Storyteller: able to build and communicate clearly a vision and strategy

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment

  • Passion for Results: Drive high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment; tenaciously work towards challenging goals

  • Ability to see the big picture, possessing strong analytical / technical skills

  • Experience managing the financial forecast process for a loyalty and credit card programs a plus

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $184,500 to $240,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
