What you will do:
The Role's Key Responsibilities and Tasks
As an eDOer, you will have clear objectives, great challenges and a clear overview of how your work contributes to the global company project and its customers. As an Accountant, you will primarily support the Consolidation team, while also providing assistance to the Controlling and Finance departments. You will be in charge of:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements & annual accounts in strict adherence to IFRS.
- Facilitate the completion of the monthly reporting package.
- Disclosure Quality Control: Review and validate the consistency of Notes to the Financial Statements, ensuring alignment between the Management Report and Group disclosure requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of the Spanish entity annual financial statements in adherence to Spanish GAAP.
Data & System Management
- Data Integration: Execute data loads from source ERPs (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX) into Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) for both legal and management reporting.
- Intercompany (ICP) Reconciliation: Extract and analyze ICP matching data for P&L and Balance Sheet accounts. Ensure discrepancies remain below tolerance thresholds and book necessary corrections.
- Subsidiary Validation: Upload and perform initial validation of Trial Balances (TB) from specific entities.
- Workflow Management: Administer and resolve outstanding comments and workflow items within the Workiva reporting platform.
Audit, Compliance & Support
- Audit Readiness: Prepare comprehensive audit files and maintain supporting documentation for external auditors during interim and year-end procedures.
- Equity Accounting: Track and document Share Buy-back acquisitions to ensure correct accounting treatment within the consolidation.
- GAAP Conversion: Review Local GAAP vs. IFRS mapping for subsidiary reporting packages to ensure accurate adjustments for Group purposes.
Strategic Projects & Implementation
- Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including SAP migrations and the implementation of new accounting standards.
Process Improvement & Ad-Hoc Support
- Automation: Assist in the development and implementation of automation initiatives within the consolidation and reporting functions.
- Management Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the Consolidation and/or Controlling Manager for evolving business needs or regulatory changes.

- 3+ years of working experience,
- Degree in Economics or Business Administration,
- Experience in a consolidation department will be valued,
- High level of spoken and written English,
- Ability to work under pressure,
- Passion, Integrity, and Energy,
- Knowledge of the HFM, Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP and workiva will be valued,
- Knowledge of IFRS standards and local Spanish GAAP (PGC) will be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.
- Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
- AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility: Enthusiastic about continuously learning and quickly adapting to new AI features and capabilities.
- Collaboration with AI: Experience or interest in collaborating closely with AI tools as “pair programmers” to complement traditional software development practices.
