Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist in the Meta Commercial team is responsible for managing CPC-based advertising campaigns on Metasearch (price comparison) sites. You will work in the highly impactful and prominent Metasearch track that sits at the core of the Travel industry where you will help shape Booking.com’s Meta strategy. The role includes account and relationship management of large strategic partners (e.g. Tripadvisor, Trivago etc.)

You will spend time on building strong, working and influential relationships with advertising partners, making sure we achieve its financial targets while ensuring new product opportunities and optimisations are identified and appropriately researched and prioritised.

You will work closely with the Meta bidding, analytics and product/tech teams to manage the execution of the channel strategy and optimize ad spend towards defined critical metrics.

Lead and own projects for your Meta accounts from start to finish: research, identify, prioritize, gain consensus, implement and measure the results. You will apply a data-driven approach to identify and prioritize work that drives value to the team, channel and the company.

You are results-oriented, flexible and eager to acquire new skills / knowledge. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. The role is ideal for a proactive and motivated problem solver with excellent communication and commercial skills as well as a strong analytical background and stakeholder management skills.

This role sits within the Global Performance Marketing Department and it focuses mainly on:

  1. Relationship management with large advertising companies
  2. Account management, including performance management, project management of product opportunities and optimisations with metasearch partners

Main Responsibilities

In this role your key tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Day to day management of strategic advertising campaigns on meta search websites
  • Lead/own projects from start to finish: research, identify, prioritize, gain consensus, implement and measure the results
  • Use data to identify and prioritize work that drives value to the team and/or company
  • Partner with internal and external collaborators from across the globe and across departments
  • Work closely with the analytics team to optimize ad spend towards defined critical metrics.
  • Analyze performance data and translate this into tactics to drive growth for the business while maintaining return on investment
  • With the team, brainstorm and develop creative solutions for digital marketing opportunities

Qualifications and Requirements

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in digital marketing
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken, any other language a plus
  • Basic understanding and experience in analytics & SQL.
  • Commercial awareness & solid understanding of digital marketing KPIs
  • Experience managing external relationships.
  • Ownership of performance targets and proof of achieving them.
  • Experience in working with data reporting tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio or similar)
  • Proficient user of Excel/Google Sheets
  • Project management skills and task prioritization.
  • Ability to influence partners and peers

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience managing large budgets
  • Metasearch experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working with DSI (data scientists) / MLS (machine learning scientists) & developers.
  • Product Management / Project Management experience
