About the role:

The Commercial Excellence Specialist - Partnerships role sits within the Partnerships Commercial Excellence Team. The team sets up and innovates the commercial operating model and processes across channels to ensure ambitions and targets are met by Partnerships in an efficient and effective way.

The role supports Commercial Excellence projects, e.g. target operating model projects, commercial performance projects and cross channel projects. Applies effective project management to ensure results are delivered on time, within budget and at the required quality levels.

As our team member, you are able to deliver relevant, action-oriented and innovative recommendations to our local operations and global stakeholders which result in tangible commercial improvements.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Commercial Excellence

  • Co-develop commercial initiatives to improve commercial performance of Partnerships.
  • Support the Global Commercial Excellence Manager and the Senior Commercial Excellence Specialist(s) in executing commercial initiatives to improve channel performance (e.g. projects related to go-to-market, tooling, monitoring and steering).
  • Identify commercial and operational improvements by collecting information, generating insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure cross channel aligned approach to drive go-to-market projects to improve Partner performance via effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Coordinate with relevant global & regional teams to ensure adequate implementation, communication, training & tracking of successful Commercial Excellence projects by owning and improving dedicated change management tools and processes.

Business impact

  • Have a clear understanding of, and influence on, the business impact of team projects.
  • Actively support others to find clarity on business initiatives and be widely accepted in the business as a key driver of value creation towards business ambitions.
  • Be able to create consistent reporting to showcase results and business impact on different projects.

Stakeholder Management

  • Use expertise and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and innovate towards achieving ambitions together and create high performing working relationships .
  • Be seen as a digital channel expert and key driver/iterator of stakeholders’ goals ultimately driving additional value to the business.

Role Qualifications and Requirements

Soft Skills:

  • A proven track record in commercial performance .
  • Experience in understanding account management needs: their operations and digital channels adoption
  • Strong commercial focus and prioritization skills
  • Translate business needs into business opportunities which can be executed in small steps, and prioritize them according to business value and impact.
  • Data driven, customer focused, proactive, creative and innovative.
  • Highly organised, pragmatic and results-focused; driven to manage projects full cycle.
  • Able to work well independently and within a team;
  • Building relationships and stakeholder management across different departments
  • Clearly outline & present plan and future goals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Tactical thinker, able to balance long-term strategic vision with short- and medium-term goals and translate them into executional steps

Hard Skills - Tools

Salesforce (Intermediary)

  • Report and Dashboard Management: Create and manage reports and dashboards. Additionally, being able to manage and execute data exports with the aim of maintaining data quality.
  • User Training: Provide Salesforce training to other users.

SQL (Basic to Intermediate)

  • Query Writing: Write queries using SELECT, JOINs to combine data from multiple tables. Additionally, basic understanding of schemas and tables relations is appreciated.
  • Data Retrieval: Focus on data retrieval and analysis rather than data manipulation.

Google Sheets (Intermediary)

  • Advanced Functions and Formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP), basic understanding of Data Visualisation and Conditional Formatting and filtering.
  • Pivot Tables: Create and use pivot tables for data analysis.

Tableau Desktop (Basic)

  • Data Connection: Connect to and prepare data sources.
  • Simple Visualizations: Create basic charts and graphs.
  • Basic Dashboards: Assemble simple dashboards.
  • Sorting and Filtering: Apply basic sorting and filtering.
