Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) defines the relationship between Booking.com and their designated portfolio of key partners. The main objective of the Key Account Manager is to manage a group of strategic, key, national, hotel chains on a regional or sub regional level in order to achieve designated commercial and product targets through the implementation of appropriate and strategic plans. Their average portfolio represents 25 million euros Net Stayed Commission. The Key Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with important clients and will work closely with various business departments in order to maintain and further develop the relationships. The Key Account Manager is responsible for the achievement of sales quota and is assigned key objectives/metrics relevant to key accounts. The Key Accounts Manager represents the entire range of company solutions to the assigned partners. The job holder enables the partnership account planning cycle and ensures that the client’s needs and expectations are met by the business.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support Booking.com strategy & influencing initiatives and vision for key regional partners.
  • Advocate the Booking.com brand name and its credibility to key partners.
  • Support booking.com product development based on regional knowledge and key partner relationships.
  • Be involved in the facilitation of agreements on commercial terms between Booking.com and key partners.
  • Coordinates company executive involvement across different stakeholders levels of the customer management.
  • Train, consult, monitor, support, and guide internal collaborators in managing partners in order to optimize and drive their performance.
  • Advocate Booking.com innovations/projects/products with key partners to improve performance and unlock business opportunities at a regional level.
  • Analyze key partners’ performance on a regional, national and on local/property level.

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Global Hotel Chains Key Account Management function
  • Consistent knowledge of digital and travel industry and related trends
  • Strong networking skills in order to connect with different internal and external collaborators
  • Good knowledge of Revenue, Channel and Distribution Management;
  • Critical thinking
  • Leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of Booking.com competitive landscape
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Good ability to read and interpret multiple data sources in order to define short/medium/long-term goals
