Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to help us organize and manage a growing portfolio of medium and large initiatives that need to be executed on time and with great quality, solid experience within Finance would be a great plus. The candidate will join the Operational Excellence team in the Order to Cash department. The role is based in Amsterdam.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate & manage complex technology, business critical and operational excellence projects that may span across finance domains or multiple departments. You will work closely with people of diverse functional and technical backgrounds (a.o. Financial Systems, Finance Product & Technology, Treasury, Global Credit Control, Payments/Payment Operations, Tax, etc.).

Your goal is to initiate, plan, coordinate, structure and enable projects. Also influence individual teams/departments to execute the agreements while keeping the overall objectives, timelines and overall success in sight. We seek a strong stakeholder manager who will take full ownership and accountability for projects with a global scope combining traditional and modern project management methodologies as well as coaching and supporting your team members to achieve the desired level of maturity when it comes to project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of multiple project/initiative(s) for the Order to Cash department
  • Own the successful delivery of the end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Planning and defining success criteria aligned with business objectives for project delivery with medium/large complexity initiatives.
  • Understand, manage and mitigate risks and dependencies within the project.
  • Create clear project plans together with involved departments and collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and build action plans
  • Apply change management to support adoption of the changes required by the project.
  • Build and manage project teams. Enable team members to make the right decisions.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels inside and outside of the organization. Influence department leaders to prioritize the project needs.
  • Support building Project Management capabilities within the department

Requirements:

  • Experienced project manager with 3+ years and a proven track record in managing end-to-end projects.
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Proven ability to navigate & execute projects in agile environment with ability to simplify things and cope with uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment and is able to work under pressure. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong organization and planning
  • Pragmatic, able to solve complex issues, can-do mindset
  • Strong ability to drive change. Solid understanding of change management and ability to guide teams through change.
  • Ability to manage project teams and work with multiple stakeholders across all levels within the organization
  • Strong communicator who can influence stakeholders and clarify ambiguity as well as successfully communicate with leaders, (senior) Directors and VP level
  • Skilled negotiator who focuses on win-win solutions to tough challenges
  • Great business acumen and understanding of organizational issues & challenges
  • Have an understanding of finance processes within an organization. SAP knowledge is a plus
  • PMP/Prince2 or Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is preferred
