At Booking.com, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world. We began by taking hotel bookings online over 20 years ago and we’ve been shaping the travel industry ever since. Today, we’re building a platform that connects all parts of the trip – from accommodation to transport, tickets, tours and more.
Roughly 60 million property reviews and property owner’s replies are published on Booking.com every year. As part of the Moderation team within Content Engineering, we are making Booking.com a more pleasant place for everyone by filtering out reviews that contain racial remarks, discriminatory statements, offensive and insulting content. Automatic moderation is done in 20+ languages and saves millions of euros annually in associated costs. We are expanding our capabilities and existing framework to improve quality, efficiency and speed of the system that can withstand the scale. We are not limited in scope by text classification, we strive to cover images and other types of user-generated content, adhere to the Digital Services Act for the European Union to keep our company and services compliant, and become the center of excellence in moderation for all of Booking Holdings.
As part of our team, you'll be responsible for creating and overseeing the infrastructure and services that guarantee our products are of high quality, reliable, and can scale effectively. Your role involves managing the platform, integrating with our ML pipelines, and enhancing the internal team's review moderation UI.
