Tax Manager - US State and Local Taxes (SALT)

Founded in 1996 in Amsterdam, Booking.com has grown from a small Dutch start-up to one of the world’s leading digital travel companies. Part of Booking Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), Booking.com’s mission is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world. Booking.com invests in digital technology that helps take the friction out of travel. Booking.com connects travelers with the world’s largest selection of incredible places to stay, but also offers its customers the ability to book flights, rental cars, attractions and taxis as a one-stop-shop for a Connected Trip.

As Booking.com continues to develop new travel related products, building the Connected Trip and growing in the US, we are looking for a Tax Manager with US SALT expertise in our team, to provide support and enhance compliance with continuously changing US local tax regulations.

You will sit in the Trips BU team, which is a multi-tax disciplinary team dedicated to supporting all Trips Verticals (incl. among other car rental, rides, flights, insurance, attractions), however you may also support the Accommodations BU team where needed. Building strong collaboration with other US SALT experts in the group is important to ensure (cross brand) alignment. The role involves close interaction with our entire tax department, various business teams, our parent company (Booking Holdings Inc in Norwalk, Connecticut), our international offices, functional teams and other finance colleagues in Amsterdam and Manchester. Therefore it is essential that you have excellent management and communication skills in English.
