The Difference You Will Make:

This role is responsible for bringing new, affordable, and group-friendly inventory onto Airbnb, including student accommodation, hostels, and alternative shared living spaces, while ensuring supply is optimized to meet student demand.

You will work cross-functionally with Business, Marketing, Comms, PR, Partnerships, Community, Product, and Data teams to ensure supply and demand are built in tandem. The role blends acquisition, partnerships, execution, and insight development, and is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, scrappy, and excited to build a new supply vertical from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Student Supply Acquisition & Execution
  • Drive the onboarding of student-relevant supply across the UK, focusing on high-volume and underutilized inventory such as student housing providers, hostels, and group stays.
  • Support execution of the UK Student roadmap by ensuring supply exists to meet demand generated through incentives, partnerships, and campus activity.
  • Build and manage pipelines of supply partners, from sourcing and outreach to onboarding and go-live.
  • Operationalize supply programs end-to-end, removing friction and creating scalable acquisition mechanisms.

Supply Optimization & Performance

  • Support new Hosts and partners through onboarding and early ramp (first 3–6 months), ensuring listings are optimized for student travel.
  • Improve performance through pricing, availability, merchandising, and group suitability.
  • Work with partners to ensure supply meets affordability expectations while maintaining Airbnb quality standards.

Cross-Functional Integration (Supply x Demand)

  • Partner with marketing teams to ensure supply is aligned to demand moments (e.g. summer travel, graduation, group trips).
  • Collaborate with Product and Business teams to unlock new supply types and improve onboarding flows (e.g. multi-occupancy listings, student-specific features).
  • Work with Comms and PR to surface supply-led stories and moments (e.g. affordable travel, student-first stays).

Partnerships & Supply Channels

  • Support relationships with key supply partners including student accommodation providers, universities, and youth-focused housing operators.
  • Help develop new acquisition channels and partnerships that unlock supply at scale.
  • Identify and act on market trends, including seasonal vacancy (e.g. summer student housing supply).

Insights & Reporting

  • Track and report on supply acquisition, onboarding performance, and supply-side metrics.
  • Lead pipeline tracking, reporting, and performance analysis across supply initiatives.
  • Surface insights on supply gaps, pricing, and student needs to inform broader strategy.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years experience in business development, partnerships, supply acquisition, marketplaces, or program management
  • Strong commercial instinct with an interest in marketplaces, travel, or real estate supply
  • Hands-on, execution-focused with a “get things done” mindset
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Data-minded with an interest in performance, insights, and optimisation
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build from scratch, operate in ambiguity, and develop new supply channels
  • Experience in supply acquisition, partnerships, or marketplace growth is a plus

Key Characteristics

  • Curious and proactive
  • Commercially minded with strong ownership
  • Structured but scrappy in execution
  • Obsessed with unlocking supply and solving constraints
  • Collaborative and low ego
  • Comfortable balancing execution with strategic thinking
  • Motivated by building new categories and scaling impact
