- The Legal Tech team within BizTech is responsible for owning and managing all technology needs for the Legal function. As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer on this team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and managing a diverse portfolio of applications and technology solutions.

As a Senior Business Solutions Engineer within the Legal Tech team at Airbnb, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the technology landscape that powers our global Legal function. You will be the driving force behind Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and other core legal technology platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business while delivering efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Working closely with Legal stakeholders, partner teams, and engineering, you will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and maintaining SaaS products and custom-built solutions. You will evaluate new tools, and streamline workflows that enhance collaboration, automation, and data visibility across the Legal organization.
You will partner with business leaders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, while also mentoring peers in best practices for solution design and adoption.
This role requires you to be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, proactive in problem-solving, and thoughtful in balancing short-term needs with long-term strategy. By owning key platforms like CLM, Knowledge Management, and Document Management Systems, you will set new standards for how technology enables the Legal function at Airbnb—making processes more intuitive, data-driven, and future-ready.
A Typical Day:
- Lead cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand pain points, requirements, and timelines, and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
- Serve as the primary owner of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) by:
- Analyzing, documenting, and validating business processes and requirements.
- Designing and configuring solutions that align with business needs.
- Continuously identifying opportunities to enhance the platform to support both current requirements and future growth.
- Owning functional areas beyond Contracts management such as Document Management, Knowledge Management, Matter Management, and Legal Billing Systems etc.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Procurement, Tax, etc.) to address process gaps, ensuring greater efficiency and effectiveness across the global Legal function.
- Contribute to building and maintaining the internal knowledge base, including process documentation and user support materials, to enable self-service and adoption across teams.
Your Expertise:
- 7+ years of experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions; SaaS solution experience in essential.
- Deep domain expertise in contract management processes with proven hands-on CLM implementation experience.
- 4+ years of experience managing additional legal applications across functional areas (preferably Matter Management and/or Document Management).
- Ability to recommend process improvements and best practices, leveraging strong knowledge of CLM and SaaS industry trends.
- Prior experience implementing AI-powered tools for Legal is highly desirable.
- Skilled at navigating ambiguous problem spaces, independently unblocking challenges, evaluating solution trade-offs, and articulating approaches clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, taking full ownership of systems, processes, and outcomes.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of fellow team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions.

The base pay range shown below is annualized, is inclusive of allowances and is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
